My name is Jayd Capela, the Principal Loan Originator at Motto Mortgage Selections! My story starts in Fall River, Massachusetts, where I was born. Growing up, I was raised in Somerset and Fall River Massachusetts with my parents, two older brothers, and a younger sister.

In 2006, my family relocated to Palm Coast, Florida, where I completed eighth grade at Buddy Taylor Middle School and later graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School. During my childhood in Palm Coast, I played High School baseball/travel competitive baseball, where my value was more in my personality than my playing skills!

During my teenage years, aside from baseball, I worked at Mezzaluna Pizzeria in the European Village. I worked there during High School for nearly three years. After I graduated High School, I enlisted in the United States Air Force.

I spent four years in the Air Force as part of the Security Forces. I was stationed in Valdosta Georgia, at Moody Air Force Base. I had the privilege of serving in various squadrons and deploying overseas for Operations Enduring Freedom and Inherit Resolve. In my final year in the Air Force, I met my beautiful wife, who was my neighbor at the time. After my contract was completed, I received an honorable discharge, and I returned home.

Back in Palm Coast, I worked at the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office for six years, primarily in the Special Investigations Unit as a narcotics Detective and Task Force Officer with Federal Bureau of Investigation. I also served on the Flagler County Sheriffs Office SWAT Team as an Operator.

Real estate has always been a part of my life, with my parents being entrepreneurs in the field. My mother (Pam Capela) is the Broker/Owner of REMAX Select Professionals, and my father (Tony Capela) is the owner of Select Professional Builders and Weber Air and Heat. I began my real estate career at in 2014, and after a lifetime of lessons from closely observing and learning the Real Estate Industry from my profound mentors. I acquired my Mortgage Loan Originator License and in 2020, co-founded Motto Mortgage Selections.

Our goal with Motto Mortgage Selections is to offer transparent mortgage services that prioritize your needs and financial well-being. We are dedicated to exceeding customer expectations while ensuring financial prudence.

Since my history derives from service, we do everything we can do give back to our communities we serve. We recent held our first-annual golf tournament, "Take A Swing At Hunger", intended to raise as much money to purchase non perishable goods. In return, donate the non perishable goods to our local community food banks. In 2023,  our first golf tournament raised over $30,000.00.  Where 100% of the proceeds, were used to purchase over 25,000 pounds of non perishable goods and turkeys for families in need at thanksgiving.
