Ward is the President of Motto Franchising, LLC. With over 100 franchises sold and more than 70 offices open in 30 states, Motto Franchising, LLC’s unique national franchise mortgage brokerage model is the first of its kind in the United States. Created to disrupt the mortgage industry, the Motto Mortgage network connects loan originators and real estate agents to provide a seamless, personalized experience and one-stop shop for consumers. Motto Mortgage is the second member of the RE/MAX Holdings, Inc. family of brands. His role is to oversee the growth and strategy for the brand with an emphasis on creating and delivering a value proposition that attracts a variety of customer types including real estate firms, investors, and loan originators looking to establish their own business.
Under Morrison’s leadership, Motto Mortgage was named among the top 1% of fastest-growing emerging franchises in the United States in 2018, * and led the company to a major milestone, selling 100 offices in its first 23 months. Additionally, last November, Morrison was named a 2018 Housing Wire Vanguard award recipient.
Prior to heading up Motto Franchising, LLC, Morrison spent more than 13 years in various management and operational roles within RE/MAX Holdings, Inc. the parent company of the world’s largest real estate broker franchisor, RE/MAX, LLC.
Before RE/MAX, LLC, Morrison’s career offered him a breadth of experience in mortgage and the real estate industry. He was a loan originator in Vail, Colorado for 4+ years, bought and sold property as a real estate agent, and had his own real estate development company specializing in spec homes in Eagle County, Colorado. Additionally, he was a controller for Stewart Title, sold SAAS software to real estate firms, and worked in sales at Xerox.
Morrison was integral in the founding of the Motto Mortgage Mission Against Hunger, the philanthropic program run by Motto Franchising, LLC as a way for the nationwide network to give back to their local communities, and regularly volunteers at the local food bank.
Morrison has also been a volunteer officer for over 10 years for his University of Colorado at Boulder fraternity maintaining the property and mentoring the chapter’s officers. Additionally, he has been married for more than 25 years and has 3 boys. His hobbies include tennis, golf, and he has run a poker league with 30 of his closest friends for over 12 years.
