Jayd Capela is the Broker Owner at Motto Mortgage Selections. Originally from Fall River, MA, he moved to Palm Coast, FL in 2006, where he graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School. Before beginning his real estate career in 2014, Jayd served honorably as a decorated combat veteran in the U.S. Air Force, deploying to the Middle East in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve.

After his service, Jayd spent six years with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in the Special Investigations Unit. Raised in a family with deep ties to real estate—his mother is a RE/MAX broker owner, and his father is a luxury custom homes builder and owns an HVAC business—he developed a strong passion for the industry. In 2020, he co-founded Motto Mortgage Selections with the goal of providing transparent, client-focused mortgage services.

Jayd’s hard work and dedication to excellence earned him the Motto Mortgage Rookie of the Year Award and has quickly positioned him as one of the best up-and-coming loan originators in the nation. His reputation for providing exceptional service and building strong client relationships has set him apart in the industry.

Jayd and his team are dedicated to going above and beyond to serve the community. Through events like their annual "Take A Swing at Hunger" golf tournament, they’ve raised over $30,000 to support local food banks and provided more than 45,000 pounds of food for families in need. Their charitable efforts also extend through their nonprofit, Corner Stone 386, which supports local foster care, children’s cancer centers, and other causes.
